In a nutshell, the Dark Continent is a barren terrain of malice. Nothing but a desert ruin with dark clouds obstructing the radiance of the sun, nought is known about this place except that it is filled with the scum of the Earth. Otherkind have ventured into the Dark Continent, but none of returned from their expedition to give word of the Continent. Some say that the Continent is cursed, that those that near it become filled with malice. It is the home to the Dragons, the World's current and over hanging danger.
